About the Museum :: Moffat Road Railroad Museum ~ Granby, Colorado

			Join the Museum The museum will combine historical experiences along with a 4,000 sq. ft. model of the "Moffat Road." The building will be situated in a fully landscaped area called the Railroad Interpretive Center, complete with outdoor life size displays of steam engine, caboose, railroad artifacts, etc., along with pathways, lights, and benches. The museum will provide students, residents, and visitors the opportunity to learn about the history of railroading and its effects on the economy and growth of Grand County.
			Museum Membership
			We are currently working on different types of museum memberships to offer. Once the different levels are finalized, there will be a complete listing with the benefits outlined. By becoming a member of the museum, your dues will help raise money for the Museum Building Fund and operation expenses. We will also be updating this section to add the option to pay for museum memberships online, or to download a membership form to fill out and mail back in to the museum.
			Preview The Museum A model of the Moffat Road Railroad Museum property layout is currently on display in the Granby Library and is open for public viewing. Visit our Building Progress to see floor plans, 3D renderings, and the model of the museum, along with progress photos that will be updated along the way. The "Moffat Road" Model Railroad The museum will house the Grand County Model Railroad Club’s working display of the "Moffat Road" Railroad - the Denver & Northwestern Pacific R.R. from Denver, Colorado to Craig, Colorado circa: 1905 thru 1960’s. The museum is also looking for artifacts to display permanently or for a limited time exhibition. To make a donation by mail, or to pledge gifts to build the Moffat Road Railroad Museum, please download and fill out our MRRM Building Fund Gift/Pledge Form. Pledges may be paid over a period of up to 5 years. Join the Grand County Model Railroad Club Become a member of the Grand County Model Railroad Club and help the Club accomplish many different goals.
